Dage-MTI’s high resolution Firewire camera (XLMC) captured image of fluorescent cells used on magazine’s front cover.
Dage-MTI announced its high resolution Excel series digital camera (XLMC) was used to capture the image used on the front cover of the trade journal, Microscopy Today (January 2007, Volume 15, Number 1). The images of cultured fibroblasts were achieved using the XLMC color camera (2048x2048)

Dage-MTI owners serve on Purdue University North Central Advisory Board
Dage-MTI’s owners, John and Peggy Moore, are serving on Purdue North Central University’s Advisory Board for Academic Affairs. At the request of Chancellor James B. Dworkin, their involvement will provide direction and review of undergraduate and graduate degree proposals, recruitment of students (including international), recruitment of new faculty members, promoting PNC to surrounding communities, along with fundraising for academic programs at PNC.

Dage-MTI featured on TV news program
Dage-MTI was featured on the TV News program “Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick” on PBS. The TV show took viewers behind the scenes of the company, the nation’s oldest video camera manufacturer, in a special weekend edition. The TV News program covered the manufacturing process of video cameras and changes in production technology. Technicians were shown manufacturing cameras using high efficiency methods.
The program also featured the uses of video cameras in biomedical and industrial applications. One segment showed examination of tissue specimens with video.

Dage-MTI Honored by Governor
Gov. Mitch Daniels has honored a longtime Michigan City company with the Governor’s Hall Century Business Award.
John and Peggy Moore, owners of Dage-MTI, received the award in recognition of the company’s 50 years of operation and involvement in the community. Dage-MTI is a manufacturer of analog and digital video cameras and monitors for science, industry and government. It is the oldest video camera manufacturer in the United States.
Dage Television was founded in 1952 and made closed-circuit televisions and industrial controls for several corporate owners. Dage was merged with Maryland Telecommunications, Inc. in 1975 and was purchased by the Moore’s in 2003. Under their direction, the company has expanded its product line from the traditional analog cameras to also include the next generation of digital cameras.
“Dage-MTI is a great example of how a local Michigan City company can grow and succeed by embracing new technology and involvement in the community,” said Mayor Chuck Oberlie. “Dage-MTI is a true high tech firm, and John and Peggy Moore have been excellent promoters of the Michigan City economy”, Oberlie added.
Peggy Moore is a board member of the Michigan City Economic Development Council and serves on the Operating Council for the Entrepreneur Center. John Moore serves on MCEDC's Technology Committee, as well as the Chamber of Commerce's Manufacturing Council.

Purdue University President Tours Dage-MTI
Purdue University President, Martin Jischke, toured Dage-MTI recently, praising the company as an “asset to our state.” He was a guest of Dage owners John and Peggy Moore, and was accompanied by Victor L. Lechtenberg, Purdue Vice Provost for Engagement, and others.
Dage was selected as a stop on President Jischke’s state-wide tour for its advanced technologies in design and manufacture of digital cameras. Jischke and others toured the Dage facility and were treated to an advance preview of Dage’s new Excel firewire camera series.
Purdue has long been held in the highest regard as one of the nation’s foremost engineering universities. Dage has been a leader in advanced visual technology for more than 50 years. Today, its products are among the leading brands in the scientific and industrial markets.
